I am currently full-time employed with a major Consulting company, but in the past I have worked as an independent contractor using the name 'MindBeans Software Consulting'.

Davis Dog Owners Group (DDOG), 2007 - current http://www.davisdog.org Overview: Davis Dog Owners Group's website to communicate news and information to dog owners in the local community. Tech details: Installation and setup of MediaWiki & MySQL. Running on Apache, hosted on my own Linux server. |

| Online Store, 2008 - current Overview: work in progress (not yet live). Customizable Online Store, allows maintenance of stock categories, tracking of orders and payments. Integrated with Paypal Instant Payment Notification (IPN). Tech Details: Custom built using Groovy and Grails, deployed to JBoss 4.x application server, MySQL 4.x. Hosted on my own Linux server. |

Exchange Personnel, 2006 (Site no longer active/no longer in business) Overview: Website for advertising job vacancies for a Recruitment Agency based in the UK. Tech Details: This was the second version of the site, implemented using Mambo CMS and MySQL, running on Apache, hosted on my own Linux server. The first version was implemented with Komplete Lite CMS, with a different design for the website. Mambo turned out to be a lot more flexible than Komplete Lite. |

| Kev's Development Toolbox, 2002 - current http://www.kevinhooke.com Overview: My own website for hosting a number of homegrown development utils, plus my technical news blog. I started it originally as a place to store tech notes and tips online for my own use, and it's grown from there. Tech Overview: JSP pages, Apache Tiles. BBWeblog is my custom developed blog/bulletin-board web-app that I use for my blog and my tech notes using Struts, Hibernate and MySQL (open sourced on SourceForge). This site went live in 2002 originally hosted by WebAppCaberet using Apache/Tomcat/JBoss 3.2.x for about a year, then I moved it to host on my own Linux server. |
